Since its inception in 2010, the B&O Yorkville Run has raised over $800,000 to support local charities including YWCA Toronto, Mount Sinai Hospital, Prostate Cancer Canada, Jesse Ketchum Public School, Victim Services Toronto, Wellspring, Canadian Cancer Society and Golden Rescue. We are very proud to be partnering with these great charities that will use the funds to benefit crucial programs and initiatives in our community.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to affect Canadian men. In fact, during his lifetime, one in 8 men will be diagnosed with the disease.  In 2015, an estimated 4100 men died from prostate cancer.  In the past 20 years, death from prostate cancer has been reduced by 40%. When detected early, prostate cancer is over 90% treatable. The funds raised through the B&O Yorkville Run will support the Graduate Studentship in Prostate Cancer Research awards that will be given to a University of Toronto full-time postdoctoral student! Prostate Cancer Canada is the leading national foundation dedicated to the elimination of the disease through research, advocacy, education, support and awareness.    More here.
